Holiday Brunch Featuring the Home Depot Fireplace

I am very excited to be partnering with Home Depot to share a new addition to my household that’s perfect for the holiday season and my family brunch! It is a Freestanding Electric Fireplace My favorite time of year is the holiday season because it’s very cozy and you spend most of your time at home, cuddled up by a warm fire. In my family’s household the kitchen and dining room are where we do most of our hosting with friends and family, so a lot of time is spent creating memories and enjoying one another’s company.

My sister and I are hosting a small family brunch for the holidays and are excited to create a space that feels welcoming and festive for the holidays! My Dad has been an extraordinary hard worker this past year. He has been working hard with renovations on my sister’s place and my studio so we were excited to have him relax and enjoy some food! That’s one of the best parts about the holidays, all the yummy food! 

The Inspiration

My sister and I wanted to create a space that felt festive for the holiday’s for our friends and family to enjoy!  I’ve recently gone on a couple cabin trips and loved the cozy atmosphere, twinkling lights on the railing, the Christmas tree lighting up the room and I wanted to recreate a spot that brought all of those things together. I love decorating for the Holiday’s and The Home Depot makes it so easy to find beautiful decor! They have so many options online and in store to make my shopping experience seamless and it leaves me checking out happily with a cart full of decor! 

The Decor

The main focal point is the Whittington Electric Fireplace. I love the rustic faux tan stone and off white accent. The color matches perfectly with all the decor. I grabbed my hot chocolate and was ready to start decorating and enjoying the festive decor! 

I came across a wreath that caught my eye, it is a Pre-lit Artificial Pine with a plaid bow Wreath in the center. It is 30 inches in diameter and fits perfectly above the mantel on the fireplace. I chose this wreath because it matches the garland that I was beaming with joy when I found. The colors all flow together and create a festive holiday look that will surely have your friends and family wanting to know where you purchased all your decor. It’s okay, you can spill your secret that Home Depot is the place to find all your holiday decor! I feel like a kid in a candy store when I go holiday shopping, so many choices and I want it all! I think this wreath looks great above a fireplace or you can hang it outside on your front door.

 

Next, let’s talk about the garland that had my eyes filled with hearts when I saw it. It’s 9 feet long pre-lit garland and filled with pinecones! So many ideas rushed into my head when I saw the garland. I picture it lying perfectly above the wreath, draping over a banister, or hung delicately over a doorway. The Alexander Pre-Lit LED Pine Artificial Christmas Garland is surely going to be a head turner in your household this year! 

 

To add a little more greenery to the dining room, I wanted the table to have a long beautiful garland that surrounds the charcuterie boards. The Burgundy Poinsettia Gold Glitter Cedar and Mixed Pine Garland is six feet long and fits perfectly on the table. I love the touches of gold glitter that sparkles next to all the scrumptious food! 

Every table or mantle needs a focal point, a piece that your eyes are drawn to. My finishing touch is two 4.5 ft Berry Bliss Mixed Pine Potted Pre-Lit Artificial Christmas Tree  that border the fireplace on each side. I love the symmetry of the two trees and it really fills the extra space on the side! The trees come pre-lit with pinecones, berries, poinsettias, and ornaments. I love the size of the trees next to the fireplace and the decorative bases. They are great for inside your place or outside on your front porch. I love that all of this decor is very versatile and has so many options on where it can go!

 

The Fireplace Model

The model I chose for the fireplace is the Whittington 40 in. Freestanding Electric Fireplace in Tan with Tan Faux Stone.

The fireplace comes in two sizes 40 in. and 50 in. There is also another option on color to choose from, the Brushed Dark Pine with Faux Gray Stone. 

 

Installation Process

The installation process is fairly easy and takes about 30-40 minutes to assemble. The instructions are nicely laid out with numbers and letters to match each piece together. It helps to have a flat surface to assemble the fireplace easily.
