Welcome to our powder room makeover!! Our early 2000s bathroom was a very basic, and while there was nothing wrong with it, it definitely wasn’t inspiring for us. We craved something with a bit more personality—a moody, vintage vibe that would make even a quick trip to the powder room feel sophisticated and relaxing. If you haven’t heard, my amazing Fiancé has become quite the handyman!! Jared, worked his magic to transform this bland space into our stunning little powder room. With our shared passion for decor, we’ve turned a once-ordinary room into the moody, vintage mini retreat of our dreams. Buckle up for a tour of this fabulous transformation that proves even the smallest spaces can make a big impact!
I am SO excited for our guests to come over and see how beautiful it turned out. We aren’t afraid of color in our house. Yes, we do like touches of beiges and neutrals but we both love COLOR. Picking out color, prints and patterns makes interior design FUN! It’s what I absolutely love to do. When you see it all come together you will be amazed.
Neutrals are like the fundamentals of design—solid and reliable! But when you sprinkle in some texture, patterns, prints, and playful design elements, they transform the space! It’s these little extras that give a room its pizzazz and personality, turning a simple space into a lively showstopper. You can bring so much of your personality into a room based off your favorite prints and patterns!
We decided to go bold in here. Since there isn’t a lot of natural light in here anyway we thought it would be a great room to turn moody. First stop, our favorite store – Anthropologie Outlet!!

As we perusing the aisle, we say this wallpaper that had the fun aspect we were looking for and It was on sale- score! We grabbed that along with gold accents for the toilet paper and towel holder accessories. Can you believe this mirror? You’d think it was from Anthropologie- but nope! Jared found it on Amazon for a fraction of the price. Another great score. We’re all about that luxe look without the splurge!
Especially this vanity. Brace yourself. This was truly one of our favorite Macbids finds!! I know- we were just as shocked when we opened it and it was in mint condition. The chances of that are very slim. Storage was a must-have in such a small space. I love it for storing toilet paper and cleaning supplies to keep them hidden from site.
After, we had everything put back together we went to one of my other favorite stores, Homegoods. We grabbed a couple cute accessories and were complete!

Now, we just have one fun final detail to add above the toilet. We wanted something fun and cheeky 😉 That will be the last piece on our list for in here, but you know good things take time 🙂
However, not every remodel can go according to plan. There will always be a bump in the road to your completed remodel happiness. Our’s was a pipe breaking, water shooting out of the wall. Luckily, my Dad came over full swing and ready to fix it. Goes to show not every project gets done in a day, or heck even within a month, but when you have each other’s support (and the support of your family) you can accomplish anything!! Trust me, the little bumps make it all worth it in the end. When you sit back and say “Wow, we did this” , it’s an amazing accomplishment!

I am very proud of how much Jared is learning and he did an incredible job bringing to life our vision in this bathroom. He deserves a round of applause!! 🙂 We love our bathroom!!!
